An orientation program was organized for the new academics who joined Abdullah Gül University (AGU).
The program was organized by Dr. Elif Bengü, Coordinator of the Center for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning (CELT). On the first day, participants met administrative office personnel and Rector Prof. İhsan Sabuncuoğlu to talk about the vision and mission of the university.
On the first half of the second day, the Center for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning informed about its services and AGU student profiles. On the second half, Dr. Morris Grubbs, Assistant Dean from Kentucky University, talked about transferable skills; Dr. Aslıhan Ünsal and Dr. Suphan Bakkal from Sabancı University shared their experience and how Core Development courses were designed in a learner-oriented manner.
