Asst. Prof. Ahmet Önen, faculty member of the Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Abdullah Gül University (AGU), was elected to the academic advisory board of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Company (TEİAŞ).

Asst. Prof. Önen was elected to the Academic Advisory Board among many highly qualified scientists and said he will continue to work so that electricity is transmitted to the far points of our country in a quality and safe manner.

Asst. Prof. Önen added, the Academic Advisory Board aims to create projects and policies to solve transmission problems in Turkey and works to overcome problems regarding international transmission codes.

TEİAŞ actively works to develop electricity transmission infrastructure parallel to changes in population and infrastructure, to build new electricity transmission facilities and upgrade its own communication infrastructure, to run Turkish Power System at international standards in a quality, economical and safe manner.

Responsible for creating and realizing projects, providing electricity market services for purposes mentioned above, TEİAŞ runs its activities from the General Directorate located in Ankara, 22 Transmission Facility and Operation Group Directorates and 10 Load Dispatch Operation Directorates in various locations in Turkey.
