The International Office of Abdullah Gül University (AGU) designed an orientation program for new international students, admitted this year.

The Office received around 4,500 applications for admission from 89 countries around the world between November 2020 and August 2021 and admitted 50 top-scoring students from 20 countries.

The new coming students joined the three-week orientation program of the International Office, designed to support them during their adaptation to the University and Kayseri at the time of the coronavirus pandemic.

During the orientation, the International Office team helped students with their registration at the University, accommodation arrangements, health insurance, etc. Additionally, the University's other offices, including the Career and Employability, Dean of Students, Health, Culture and Sports, IT Services, introduced their services to the students via an online meeting. A fun trip to Mount Erciyes was also part of the program to show the students social opportunities in and around Kayseri.

A Volunteer Team put together from the returning international students of AGU also supported the new students' orientation program.

The International Office also did their traditional event called “letter to my graduate-self” with the new students. The students wrote letters to their future selves to be read when they graduate and had fun together.
